I Philip Reade of Waymouth, beeing weake of body; but of a sound memory & di∫po∫ing minde, doe make this my la∫t will & te∫tament as ffolloweth; tht is to ∫ay
I having already given unto my son Phillip Read upon his marriage all my divi∫ions of common Land in ye Town of Waymouth that is one great lot containing twelve acres more or le∫s, & two common lotts one in the upper & the other in the lower divi∫ion of common lotts together wth halfe a swamp lot & halfe an acre & twenty rod of fresh meadow and having al∫o then given him five or ∫ix acres of arable land, lying without my pa∫ture fence, in ye feild called the Range; And having al∫o given unto John Vining my loving son-in-law; halfe an acre & twenty rod more or le∫s of ffresh meadow & half a swamp lott I doe now confirm, unto them both, all the∫e my former gifts unto them by this my la∫t will; this being thus di∫po∫ed of,
I doe give & bequeath, all the re∫t of my land in waymouth undi∫po∫ed of, together with my hou∫e & barne unto mary my wife, to bee fully & wholy unto her u∫e dureing her naturall life; And after my wife's decea∫e, my will is ____
I doe give & bequeath my hou∫e and one acre & halfe of the Land adjoining unto my hou∫e of which the orchard is to bee a part unto my son Philip; all ye re∫t of my land, that is to say all the re∫t of my Land in King Oak Hill adjoining to my hou∫e together with my Pa∫ture as now it lyeth in the Range,
I doe give & bequeath after my wife's decea∫e unto my son in law John Vining ffurther I doe give & bequeath all my hou∫ehold stuffe, cattle & other e∫tate in moveables, unto my wife to bee di∫po∫ed of as she shall plea∫e.
I doe con∫titute my ffaithfull beloved wife ye sole executrix of this my la∫t will.
And finally I doe appoint my Beloved Brother Thomas Dyar and my loving ffreind Richard Porter, my over∫eers, to see this my la∫t will & te∫tament performed according to ye true intent & meaning thereof, I doe by this my la∫t will make void all other wills heretofore made by mee, I declare this to bee my la∫t will & for the confirmation hereof I have set my hand & seale this 15 day of December in ye year of our Lord 1674.
