    • There is a John Morrill that removed to Sebec, Maine in 1803. Could it be this John.? He had a son Joseph with him, and this John's son Moses did end up in Sebec. Historical collections of Piscataquis County, Maine states that James Lyford (Deborah Lyford, b. 3 May 1769), Silas Harriman(b. 21 Oct 1778, d. 10 Dec 1876, Sebec) (Elizabeth Lyford, b. 16 Mar 1779, d. 26 Nov 1847, Sebec), John Morrill (looks to be b. 28 Mar 1785, d. 27 Feb 1853, Sebec) (Liberty Lyford, b. 6 Jul 1783) and Bylie Lyford (Lois Lyford, b. 10 Jun 1781) all married sisters whose maiden name was Lyford (daughters of Thomas and Ann (James) Lyford). One website on Ancestry says John Morrill was from Gilmanton, New Hampshire.

  • Notes 
    • He is not the John Morrill who married "Mary Elizabeth" Rogers in Kingston, New Hampshire. That was the son of Benjamin and Abigail (Clough) Morrill, who remained in Kingston and died there, too. His will can be found in the NH probate records(1825). To top that off, in 1776, there was a John in Kingston and a John in Boscawen, clearly 2 different people.
