    • It appears that Clement had it wrong. She does not appear to be the Hannah Merrill born in 1771 to parents John and Mary (Merrill) Merrill. Noyes Genealogy also has her as Hannah Merrill. All evidence points to a later birth date and the maiden name of Morrill.
