  • Notes 
    • ISAAC was the third son of Joseph and Katherine Messenger. He settled on the farm that was occupied by his father. Isaac and his wife had fifteen children, ten sons and five daughters; thirteen of the family grew up and settled in life, and twelve of them left children. Mr. Isaac Messenger was in the early part of his family state, an expert hunter. His family were noted as being remarkably large, strong and robust.
