Marcy and received our Genographic 2.0 results today. I will be creating a results page for each soon.

New autosomal results were returned today, it’s going to take some time to figure it all out…

mtDNA Further Refinement

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

I just received the latest results from my mtDNA testing. Further refinement indicates I am a member of haplogroup H1. H1 appears to be the female lineage equivalent of the male R1b and it represents about 30% of the haplogroup H and nearly half of the population of Iberia.

Duane’s mtDNA Analysis

Monday, January 21st, 2008

I participated in Family Tree DNA’s high-resolution mitochondrial DNA testing in 2007. The results were returned that August.

It was determined that I am a member of haplogroup H.

As of January 2008, I have submitted for the H-refinement test in order to more specifically locate my geographic results, or to provide more income to FTDNA, I’m not sure which.

Marcy’s First Results

Friday, January 20th, 2006

After participating in the Genographic Project, Marcy’s DNA sample was subjected to further, high-resolution mitochondrial testing. The results were returned in December 2005.

It was further determined that she was a member of haplogroup H3. Below is a map showing the distribution of this haplogroup – most notably western Europe, where it seems to have emerged from the Iberian peninsula sometime after the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM).
